Donation Opportunities for our Parks
The City of Richland is pleased to accept donations of material or money from individuals and organizations for maintenance or improvements to our park system. We appreciate the generous donations that have been and are being received. Individuals or groups may donate to any park of their choice.
The following is a list of park projects for which funding is being sought:
- John Dam Plaza Stage and Amphitheater
- Community Garden material
- Off-leash dog area at Badger Mountain Community Park
- Park benches
- Picnic tables
If you are interested in making a donation to our parks, contact Phil Pinard at (509) 942-7463.
To make a memorial donation, several options are available. We accept donations for park memorials that can be placed in numerous locations around the city. Although we are no longer accepting donations for new benches along the Richland Riverfront Trailway (in Leslie Groves and Howard Amon Parks), there are several areas where additional park benches are needed: the Riverfront Trailway along Columbia Point, Sturgeon Cove Playground, the Keene Road Corridor Trail and various playground areas throughout our park system.
Donations can also be made with the purchase of a tree, picnic table, drinking fountain or other park amenity.
