Many ways and areas are available for individuals and groups to volunteer. These partnerships stretch your tax dollars further, helping to keep our parks beautiful and safe for the immediate and future enjoyment of park users.

Litter Pick-ups:

If your group or organization is interested in organizing a litter pick-up event, please contact our City of Richland Park Ranger – Jason Janosky at jjanosky@ci.richland.wa.us for schedule availability and clean-up needs.

Youth Flag Football & Youth Basketball Coaches:
Richland Recreation is always looking for dedicated volunteers to coach for our Youth Basketball and Flag Football programs.  Oftentimes, the coaches are parents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, grandparents or family friends’ of program participants.

Coaches are always needed. If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, please call the Recreation office at (509) 942-7529 or complete the online Volunteer Coach Application.

This program allows organized groups of citizens to contribute to the city by adopting a section of or an entire park, and agreeing to maintain said park in a mutually agreed upon manner.

Volunteers engaged in this program may suffer injury while performing the duties associated with the Adopt-a-Park Program; volunteers may cause injury or property damage while performing these duties, possibly resulting in potential liability claims against the city. Therefore, an agreement is necessary to establish guidelines to implement the program.
